Watch Chaz Bono's First Dance on 'DWTS' (VIDEO)
In his first dance with pro partner Lacy Schwimmer, Chaz did a cha cha -- to positive reviews from the judges and roaring applause from the audience.
As the first ever transgender contestant, the author and activist caused a controversy by his inclusion on the show, but it appears the pressure didn't get to him.
From the beginning, Chaz just wanted a chance to dance, telling Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM radio show:
"[Dancing] gave me an opportunity to really physically challenge myself. For so many years, I was uncomfortable with my body. And now finally being comfortable in it for the first time, doing something like this was really appealing to me."

His performance was excellent considering it was the first dance of the season, i think he deserved better scores by the judges. As far as Chaz and his personal life, people come on look beyond that stuff, he's a person with feelings back off! Hope Chaz makes it far, he really has rythm and is good at dancing!! :)
Lacey Schwimmer is voluptuous, gorgeous, sexy and beautiful. I love her. She’s amazing. That woman is incredible. She’s a very talented dancer. It's an exquisite performance by her, just wonderful.
