On Jan. 31, 1957, Canadian Parliament declared the second Monday of October to be the country’s Thanksgiving. “A Day of General Thanksgiving to Almighty God for the bountiful harvest with which Canada has been blessed.”

Here in the U.S., we’ve come to love Canadian celebrities, including but not limited to Ryan Gosling, Rachel McAdams and of course Justin Bieber! Click through the pics of our fave Canadian stars and let us know in the comments who’s your fave canuck!

That’s not all Rachel and Ryan have in common when it comes to their Canadian roots. The two (who dated after filming The Notebook together) were born in the same hospital in London, Ontario. Although, Rachel was born in November of 1978 and Ryan wasn’t born until November 1980, it’s still pretty crazy!

So, join us in eating some of the finest maple syrup, sharpen your hockey skates, and proudly displaying that maple leaf flag, and check out some of the best Canadian celebs in the gallery!
