Kenny Wormald has some really big shoes to fill! The role of Ren McCormack was infamously played by Kevin Bacon in the 1984 Footloose, and teen heartthrobs Zac Efron and Chase Crawford were both cast for the remake, but had to turn down the role to work on other projects.
Kenny may be a new name to some, but chances are, you've actually seen him before! The 27-year-old professional dancer has performed in several music videos with superstars from Chris Brown to Madonna, and toured the world as a backup dancer for both Justin Timberlake and the Pussycat Dolls! Check out his life as a backup dancer before he became a leading man!
Kenny was briefly featured in Mariah Carey's 2005 music video for "It's Like That" as one of the ballroom dancers (1:00 in).
In Christina Aguilera's sexy 2006 music video for "Candyman," you can spot Kenny at 1:55 dancing next to Christina in a sailor suit.
In 2007, Kenny made several appearances on Jennifer Lopez's dance reality show DanceLife. Also in 2008, Kenny played the lead role in the Oxygen Network film sequel Center Stage: Turn It Up. Check out this sexy scene from the dance drama!

Kenny's recommendation from Justin is actually what helped him get the role in Footloose!
