Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner Get Their Burqa On in Dubai (PHOTOS)
When in Rome, do as the Romans do … and when in Dubai, wear what the Dubaians (???) wear — especially for Kim Kardashian and her mom Kris Jenner.
The mom-daughter duo, who have been making the rounds across the booming country on a business and press whirlwind tour, got to partake in one of their favorite hobbies — shopping — on Thursday night, hitting some local shops in the city’s gold district. Eventually, they came across a shop that sold traditional burqa clothing, and the two couldn’t resist trying some on.
While in Dubai, Kim unveiled her very own Millions of Milkshakes blend. Hers includes a mixture of strawberries, bananas and pineapple.
Meanwhile, her wedding special drew record ratings for E!, as more than 10 million people tuned into the 2-part Kim’s Fairy Tale Wedding special this week to watch Kim and new husband Kris Humphries exchange their vows.

it looks great on both of them. kim looks like an arab woman, so she could easily be mistaken as one of them.
ur gorgeous Kimmy, u dnt need dat… it sucks
I am from Dubai, and I think they both look great, (it’s called an abaya not burqa, burqa is a complete different thing) I saw many non-Arabs try on abayas but no 1 rocked it like Kim and Kris!!! Love them!
kim has never looked more classy.
oh …omg smile for …kim
I agree have you seen the interview?? I’ve seen it posted at CELEBUR.COM the video is still up i think.
… it dont suck have some respect for other people cultures!
wow that is most clothes I’ve evr seen on her. She actually looks better without all the overdone clothes and bling.
Please have some respect for other people’s culture ,
like do you have any respect for other peoples cultures? clearly not, kim you are ignorant
mach’allah kim
I thought she was all for FEMALE EMPOWERMENT? This is anything but!!!
As a Christian she should not wear this, the burqua or whatever it is called is not a cultural item rather religious and is meant for Muslims, not Christians…
Stephanie: It is actually not a religious peice of item it has just become part of the Arab culture. And many christian woman wear them for different occasions as they can be practiacll sometimes.
Kim u rock the burqa!!
people, if you don’t know the full facts about something, don’t open your mouth.. do your research first..
they look alike!
I’m chocked i thought she would be a fighter for female rights but no, with wearing a burqa she sens a totally different message…
Who in the world told you the burqa takes the right away from women? Honestly you really need to search up things before you talk. The burqa is meant to guard women and keep them safe. And it tottaly up to the woman if she wants to wear it.
It’s not culture it’s terrorism
Woman have no personal rights to express themselves or their sexuality. Its still a mans world in these places. They arent suppose to show any part of their hair or like speak much at least in Iran thats how it is.There’s severe punishment if they do.These scare the crap out of me!And Id rather not have known Kim wearing one but whatever she wants to do it than its up to her as long as she comes back from there and is wearing cute dresses and heels! What would the fashion industry do without her?
ur such an ignorant person !! u don’t know what ur talking about ! it is a part of our religion and culture ,, plz respect that ,, all what we did to kim is welcome her and cherish her ,, she looks gorgeous wearing “burqaa” “Abaya” ,, honestly she looks beautiful wearing any outfit ,, so stop hating and start embracing others.

Hello my loved one! I wish to say that this article is amazing, nice written and include approximately all important infos. I would like to look more posts like this .
Everyone´s entitled to their opinion, but I can`t see how that would be “disrespectful”. I think its great that they tested and tried something of the local culture, I think that shows respect, and I believe some local events require women wear Burquas.
With that said, hope she keeps it on for a long time, tired of looking at spider eyelashes, heavy makeup and form fitting clothes that reveals too much cleavage. The end.
I am a Muslim and I don’t find it disrespectful. I think she lacks understanding for the reasons why women wear abayas, hijabs, and other traditionally Islamic clothing. However I also think the fact that she would try it on even though she is somoene who normally bears a lot of skin shows how open minded she really is it also shows that she is trying to understand.
If that can help understand my point: I find it disrespectful because they probably didn’t try those burqas on to “try something of the local culture.” I could be dead wrong, of course, but it seems to be that they tried the burqas on for the kicks and media attention. If they wanted to respect local culture, they shouldn’t have worn short skirts and sleeveless shirts in the first place.
And it may have been for media attention, dont know. But even if it were not, these people are media magnets, they follow them everywhere, so chances are someone would have gotten a few shots. The short skirts and sleeveless shirts explain why she needs to keep the Burqua on.
