Nicki Minaj Poses For Classic (Yet Crazy) Photos In W Magazine
Nicki Minaj is going way old school! The “Super Bass” singer posed for a series of photos that look like old paintings (think Mona Lisa) for W magazine.
Artist Francesco Vezzoli – who’s also worked with Eva Mendes and Lady Gaga — has transformed the singer into an 18-century courtesan for the photo shoot.
Nicki had a busy week between being on two covers (W and Cosmopolitan), attending the American Music Awards nominations event (she got nominated!), and then she greeted her biggest yet tiniest fan on the Ellen Degeneres Show.
Little YouTube singers Sophia, 8, and Rosie, 5, got the surprise of a lifetime when they appeared on Ellen on Wednesday when Nicki walked on the stage to chat with the girls about their video. The little Essex gals — complete with colorful wigs — even got to perform “Super Bass” with Nicki.
After singing, Nicki gushed about Sophia, saying:
“I said, superstar. Seriously we are watching a journey that’s about to be amazing. You are incredible. I just want you to stay in school. Music is beautiful but stay in school ok. Put your books first and singing second.”
