Scarlett Johansson Auction Date Sells for $41,000!
Men were clamoring to win a coveted date with Ms. Scarlett Johansson last week during a British charity auction. Even though the actress wasn't on hand at the star-studded event, the "date with Scar Jo" fetched 26,000 pounds (or about $41,000 in U.S. currency).
So who was the lucky winner?
Ronnie Wood from The Rolling Stones. In a unique twist though, he agreed to share the evening with businessman Harry Becher -- who matched his original bid -- so each guy agreed to pay 13,000 pounds.
No date has been set for the trio's coveted evening out, but all proceeds will benefit Breakthrough Breast Cancer.Guess the timing couldn't be better for Ronnie, who just split from his girlfriend of almost two years, Ana Paula Araújo, last week.
Meanwhile, director David Fincher recently opened up about why he didn't cast Scar Jo in the highly anticipated film, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. In an interview with Vogue, he explains why actress Rooney Mara won the coveted leading role of cyberpunk Lisbeth Salander.
“Look, we saw some amazing people. Scarlett Johansson was great. It was a great audition, I’m telling you. But the thing with Scarlett is, you can’t wait for her to take her clothes off... I keep trying to explain this. Salander should be like E.T. If you put E.T. dolls out before anyone had seen the movie, they would say, ‘What is this little squishy thing?’ Well, you know what? When he hides under the table and he grabs the Reese’s Pieces, you love him! It has to be like that.”Do you think Rooney Mara was the right actress for the role? Sound off in the comments section.
