Kellan Lutz Talks About His 'Boyfriend' & Other Gay Rumors
It's a good thing Kellan Lutz is secure in his manhood. Other guys might get their feathers ruffled when a hot girl presumes they have a boyfriend!
The Twilight vamp and Immortals deity talks openly about his gay fans -- and rumors surrounding his own sexuality -- in the new issue of The Advocate.
"Oh, they're the best," he says of his gay fans. "I love them. When I meet gay fans out and about, they're so great to talk to -- and I'm big on hugging, because I'm from the Midwest. They're just so energetic and loving. I'm proud to have those fans, and their support means a lot to me. I don't want just girls coming to my movies; I want guys to come too."
"I've heard that people think I'm gay," he says, adding that he finds it rather amusing. "Most of the girlfriends I've had have come after me. So it's really funny when girls get offended because I don't hit on them. They'll transform their insecurity into, 'Oh, that makes sense, because I heard you're into guys and have a boyfriend.' I'm like, 'Seriously? That's your tactic to get me to like you?' There will always be rumors, but I know who I am."
In the new Twilight films, "there's a lot more skin" he says, but he's limiting his own exposure. Let your eyes lap up those shirtless pics of Kellen while they can -- he says he's worried about his image.
"I don't want to be known as the guy who always takes his shirt off," he says. "I've done a lot of photo shoots lately for the press coming up with Immortals and Breaking Dawn, and every photographer wants to get the topless shot. We've really had to be choosy and not do that for every magazine. I've actually been trying to keep my clothes on more."
