While pregnant celebs have been popping up left and right this year, there are plenty of stars who have welcomed new kids through adoption!

Just this week, Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay and The Help actress Viola Davis revealed that they had adopted children. While Viola's daughter Genesis is her first child, Mariska's new son Andrew is third child, and second adopted one after she and husband Peter Hermann welcome daughter Amaya earlier in the year.

So, who are some other celebs who went the adoption route when it came to expanding their family?

Sex and the City's Kristin Davis became a first time mom after she adopted daughter Gemma just a few months ago, while Denise Richards welcomed her third little girl, Eloise Joni, this summer.
