Never one to hold his tongue, Maksim Chmerkovskiy took it to a new level last night on Dancing with the Stars.

He was not having it when judge Len Goodman said his dance with pro soccer player Hope Solo was her worst of the season — which drew a long series of boos from the crowd. Maks ate up the audience reaction and went on the attack. When Len brought up his 50 years in the business, Maks snapped, “Maybe it’s time to go.”

Ouch! Backstage, the other dancers commented on the controversy.

E!’s Kristin Dos Santos reports that the reaction was split:

“He did go a little too far with it, but it is what it is,” frontrunner J.R. Martinez said.

“He spoke his opinion and he should be allowed to do it,” noted Lacey Schwimmer.

“He needs a hug,” snarked his former fiance Karina Smirnoff.

“I felt like the judges have been incredibly generous this season so I was surprised,” Derek Hough commented.
