Michelle Williams’ gown included stunning embroidery that greatly resembled her Hollywood Actress Award Gala on Monday night presented by Starz. The My Week With Marilyn star stepped out at the 2011 Hollywood Film Awards in a blue silk Nina Ricci gown with a metal a sequin embroidered neckline.

This is the first of many awards Michelle, 31, is expected to earn for her role in the highly anticipated film about Marilyn Monroe. The actress is even gaining Oscar buzz, and the film has yet to be released.

While accepting her award, Williams gave a very touching speech giving a very special shout out to best friend (and Dawson’s Creek alum!) Busy Phillips.

She thanked her “constant date” Busy for always being there for her in a moving speech.

Michelle was presented with her Hollywood Film Award by Marilyn’s Bus Stop co-star (1956) Don Murray.  The 82-year-old actor said of the actresses while on stage, “I’m the last of the the on-screen lovers of Marilyn Monroe and I still just happen to have a body that actually works. … Michelle re-created moments I was so intimately familiar to me as I spent 14 months working with Marilyn. There’s not one thing in this film that’s not truthful. It was a revelation. Michelle’s performance made me appreciate Marilyn Monroe so much more.”

Michelle said when accepting the award, “It seems to me that all Marilyn Monroe wanted was to be taken seriously as an actress.” Looks like Michelle is representing her well with this award!
