Box Office Battle: 'In Time' vs. 'The Rum Diary' (POLL)

Two of Hollywood's biggest names (and hunks!) will own theaters this weekend. Opening up on Friday is the science fiction-esque flick In Time starring Justin Timberlake . Also opening on Friday is The Rum Diary based the novel by Hunter S. Thompson starring Johnny Depp yet-again as the famed journalist .

Oh but how can one choose between Justin Timberlake and Johnny Depp?! Tell us which actor you'll choose spend the weekend with at the movies!

The Rum Diary tells the story of a young journalist, Paul Kemp (Johnny Depp), who moves to Puerto Rico in hopes of ridding himself of America's trials under the Eisenhower administration. While working for a local newspaper, Kemp indulges in a steady habit of drinking rum every day and engaging in debauchery while cavorting with a woman named Chenault (played the sexy Amber Heard).

In Time is set in a futuristic world where one's time on earth depends on social status. Time is their currency and the only way to be given more time to live is to inherit it. Will Salas (Justin Timberlake) is in luck when he inherits extra time from an upper-class man just before his death though now he is on the run for accused murder. The action-packed film is sure to leave you on the edge of your seat!

Also opening in theaters is the Sundance hit, Like Crazy. A love-story set abroad, a couple is thrown into a long distance relationship when one of the lovers is refused by customs officials after overstaying her visa. Check out the trailer below:

Rounding out the list, Puss in Boots starring Antonio Banderas as the voice of the adorable feline opens nationwide. The hilarious secondary character from the Shrek franchise debuts his feature film alongside Kitty Softpaws (voiced by Salma Hayek) and Humpty Alexander Dumpty (Zach Galifianakis).

Hear them all in their animated glory in the trailer!

Will you watch Johnny revamp his role as befuddled HT in The Rum Diary? Or will you watch Justin beat the clock In Time? Tell us by voting in poll today!

‘13’ should have been released at least a year ago and it is a disgrace that not only has it been needlessly delayed but it is only getting released in New York and Los Angeles. It has a stellar cast (Jason Statham, Sam Riley, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Ray Winstone, Alexander Skarsgard, Mickey Rourke, Michael Shannon, Emmanuelle Chriqui) and deserves to make a big impact now. ‘The Double’ and ‘Like Crazy’ should have both gotten a nationwide theatrical release. If they were given a fair chance, either one of them could have been No. 1 this week. They both have interesting casts and they deserve better than to be ignored by the public now. It will be amazing to see Justin Timberlake and Cillian Murphy face off in 'In Time'. Unfortunately only if is a franchise film does an Antonio Banderas movie get a nationwide theatrical release. In the last five years, everything else that he has been in has only gotten a limited release or gone straight to DVD such as Bordertown (2006), My Spy (2008), The Other Man (2008) and The Code (2009). It is a shame. I hope he does more American mainstream movies like he used to. He is an underrated actor and should have joined the A-list years ago.
