Taylor Swift is currently making her way across America's stages on her Speak Now tour, and is venturing out of her country comfort zone. T-Swift's been making headlines with her versions of various non-country hits. During her San Diego and Phoenix shows, music's reigning sweetheart respectively tackled early 2000s songs, "Dare You To Move" by alt rockers Switchfoot, and "All You Wanted" by fellow country pop star Michelle Branch.
Fresh off her opening act gig on Joe Jonas and Jay Sean's tour, JoJo performed an intimate, acoustic cover of Rihanna's "What's My Name" at the Hard Rock Cafe in Baltimore.
In the alternative music world, Coldplay's latest album, "Mylo Xyloto" is rapidly becoming a chart-topping smash. Fellow indie band Noah and the Whale sang a cover of "Paradise" for BBC Radio's 2011 Student Tour in Aberdeen, Scotland.
Meanwhile, rock bands have come together for a cover album dedicated to alternative rock legends U2's Achtung Baby. The Fray contributed their version of "Tryin' To Throw Your Arms Around the World," while The Killers tackled "Ultraviolet (Light My Way)."
