Whether you want to admit it or not, we are constantly trying to perfect that red-carpet-worthy, picture-perfect pose just like celebs do. If you know which is your “better side” and what position of your arm makes it look as thin as possible, then you probably know that wearing a flesh-tone heel can elongate your legs in a major way. Could this be where the nude trend started?
When monochromatic ensembles started popping up on red carpets, it didn’t take long for beige, nude, and other neutral colors to be included in the trend. Celebrities are oftentimes criticized for their skimpy, skin-bearing dresses, so covering up with a nude color makes au naturel look sexy, but sophisticated.
Many celebs like Stacy Keibler, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Carpenter, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Demi Lovato have made statements on the red carpet in gorgeous, floor-length gowns.
Some ladies wanted to show off a little more skin in short but chic dresses. Renee Zellweger, Kate Middleton, Elisabetta Canalis, Kristin Cavallari, and Kim Kardashian did it perfectly.
For more casual looks, you can mix neutrals with brights like Hilary Duff, or try nude-colored menswear separates like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Also, mix a few neutral colors together in an outfit like Pippa Middleton did so effortlessly.
