A common thread that will be featured in this weekend’s box office is comedy and laughs galore. Opening this weekend is Tower Heist staring comedic heavyweights Eddie Murphy and Ben Stiller. In the raucous Harold & Kumar franchise, A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas opens this weekend as well.

With Neil Patrick Harris, and more ruling theaters this weekend, we guarantee that movie goers will exit theaters with tears in their eyes (in a good way of course!)

In Tower Heist, Stiller and Murphy set out to rob a wealthy businessman after they learn that have fallen victim to his Ponzi scheme. Stiller and Murphy share enormous chemistry and no doubt will serve up pure laughs. Check out the hilarious trailer for the film:

In A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas, John Cho and Kal Penn reprise their roles as Harold and Kumar, two hysterical stoner friends. The films center on the twosome’s misadventure when they accidentally burn down Harold’s father-in-law’s prize Christmas tree.

Also reprising his rol e(portraying an exaggerated version of himself), NPH returns to offer up some additional raunchy humor in this comedy.

Also opening this weekend is the crime drama, The Son of No One starring Hollywood A-listers Al Pacino, Katie Holmes, Channing Tatum and funny man Tracy Morgan. Check out Tracy in his buzzed about dramatic role:
