Justin Bieber, Michelle Williams & Taylor Swift: This Week In Celebrity Cover Songs (VIDEOS)
Justin Bieber put his freestyling skills on his version of “Otis” at a radio appearance in L.A. But Jay-Z and Kanye’s fans seem to be divided over the Biebs’ rendition. Take a listen and sound off in the comments with your review!
JoJo impressed audiences with another set of covers during her Hard Rock Cafe performance in Chicago. Last week, the 20-year-old took a try at Rihanna’s “What’s My Name,” and this past Wednesday she paid homage to Amy Winehouse’s “You Know I’m No Good” and Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi.”
Taylor Swift’s at it again. It’s almost no surprise when Taylor’s covers immediately hit YouTube since they’re already a huge part of her Speak Now tour set list. So who did she pay tribute to during her Nashville show? None other than fellow Memphis, Tenn. singer Justin Timberlake–watch Taylor put an acoustic spin on JT’s “Cry Me a River.”
YouTube sensations Megan & Liz took a try at Adele’s powerhouse hit, “Someone Like You.” Compared to Adele’s melancholy vocals, the pop duo gave their version a faster, upbeat tempo.
Meanwhile, in upcoming covers, check out this new clip of Michelle Williams performing “Heatwave” as Marilyn Monroe in the biopic My Week With Marilyn, which hits theaters Nov. 23.
This week has certainly brought us a ton of cover songs! Which one was your favorite? Sound off in the comments!
