Ashton Kutcher Apologizes For Joe Paterno Tweets
His first tweet read: “How do you fire Jo Pa? #insult #noclass as a hawkeye fan I find it in poor taste.” Ashton, who has a non profit to fight against human trafficking, later deleted the tweet and apologized, writing:
“Heard Joe was fired, fully recant previous tweet! Didn’t have full story.” According to People.com, this tweet came after an uproar was caused on Twitter following Ashton’s original tweet in support of the 84-year-old coach.
Ashton later added, “As an advocate in the fight against child sexual exploitation, I could not be more remorseful for all involved in the Penn St. case.”
The Two and a Half Men star also vowed to stop tweeting until “I find a way to properly manage this feed. I feel awful about this error. Won’t happen again.”
What do you think? Did Ashton need to apologize for his original tweet? Sound off in the comments!
Ashton really can’t afford another controversy after a woman came out alleging that he was unfaithful to his wife Demi Moore, thus leading to divorce rumors.
