The box office war is on: RPattz vs. Clooney! The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 1 is already predicted to bring in an estimate of $110 to $125 million and break opening weekend records come Nov. 18, but George Clooney has a differing opinion.

The Descendents star says he’s prepared for some upcoming (and friendly) rivalry as his latest film is also slated to open the same weekend as the final installment of the Twilight saga.

“There’s a lot of talk that we’re going to beat them,” he joked with E! News. “We are going against Breaking Dawn, but the big headlines come Monday morning will be “Descendants Kicks The Hell Out of Breaking Dawn.”

The former “Sexiest Man Alive” is already receiving Oscar buzz for his performance in the film, a dramedy based on the 2007 novel of the same name. The story focuses on George’s character who loses his wife to a tragic accident and must raise their young daughters afterward.

George also talked about putting all his energy into making films as opposed to gaining fame and fortune, saying:

“I pay attention to the stuff I really love, which is making films.” He added, “The rest of it, I don’t worry about so much.”

But of course the infamous prankster couldn’t walk away without the last laugh. When asked if he could “kick the hell” out of Robert Pattinson, the Oscar winner replied with a laugh, saying:

“Oh, I hope so.”
