Katy Perry to Follow in Britney, Justin's Footsteps as 'SNL' Host (PHOTOS)

According to JustJared, 'California Gurls' singer Katy Perry will host Saturday Night Live on Dec. 10, capping off a year filled with hit videos, awards and five-consecutive number-one hits. No word on whether she'll perform during the episode, as well.

This is just the latest acting gig for the singer, who last night was honored with the American Music Award of Special Achievement. Most recently, she lent her voice to the live-action/animated comedy The Smurfs, in which she played Smurfette. She also acted in a recent SNL sketch, in which she mocked Sesame Street's decision to cut her from the show due to her cleavage.
