Where did this guy come from?! He’s in three huge movies this year, two of which are getting award season buzz. Michael Fassbender starred in the action movie X Men: First Class this summer, and this Thanksgiving season hit the big screen as the psychologist who spanks Kiera Knightley in the film A Dangerous Method.

Then, come Christmas, Michael will star alongside Carey Mulligan in the NC-17 rated film Shame where he plays a sexaholic.  If this still isn’t ringing a bell, you may have remembered him as Lt. Archie Hicox in the 2009 movie Inglourious Basterds.
