Even though she’s Canadian, Avril Lavigne got into the Thanksgiving spirit.

Sitting atop a float in the always-awesome Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, Avril was less rocker and more beauty queen, as she sat, waved and smiled as she was led down the Big Apple streets in a massive turkey float.

Avril has been spending a good amount of time in New York City lately. Earlier this week, she was spotted bowling at an event that she was participating in.
