Demi Lovato Returns to Rehab, Speaks About Past Struggles

The 12th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards - Arrivals

She has fought her own inner demons, and now Demi Lovato wants to help others do the same.

The "Skyscraper" singer returned to her old treatment center on Sunday to speak about her past experiences with self harm. In a heartfelt tweet, Demi wrote about her emotional day:

Today I went back to the treatment center I went to last year, to speak to the beautiful women fighting their inner demons.. was so honored

She added:

To be able to share my story and let them know that it gets easier. Life is beautiful.... You are worthy of it.

Last year, Demi entered rehab following a very public breakdown. She checked into Timberline Knolls in November 2010 in order to seek treatment for personal issues. Since then, Demi has gotten over her battles against self harm and persevered. Her latest album, Unbroken, chronicles her past emotional struggles and her time in treatment.

Demi capped off her message by asking fans to support those who are combating their own inner demons, tweeting:

Please say a prayer for all of those struggling with eating disorders, self harm, mood disorders, and substance abuse.

She has been out of rehab less than a year and she thinks she is qualified to speak to these people? She slutted herself up and released a new song and with all of that she was still irrelevant so now she has to do something to get back in the media. She screwed herself and now her time has passed. No one is at fault here exept her. It fall squarely on HER shoulders for all her mistakes. No one else.

What a terrible headline! You totally misrepresented the article in an attempt to get page views. It worked; I clicked, but I'll never check you out again. Of course, I thought 'returns to rehab' meant 'checked back in to rehab', which is what you wanted me to think. Instead of giving Demi credit for trying to help others, you wanted the public to think that she's in trouble again. Shame on you!
