Nicole Richie and
Joel Madden will be celebrating their one-year wedding anniversary today, and according to Nicole... the festivities may not be all that exciting!
"Well his dream day is probably watching football and playing video games, and my dream day is watching Real Housewives, so maybe that will be our one-year [celebration]," Nicole told E!
She was just joking, but we think a low-key day at home with their
adorable kids Harlow and
Sparrow would be a great way to celebrate! And no matter where they are, Nicole and Joel seem to find ways to keep their marriage fun and playful - we couldn't help smiling when Joel took the time to tweet his beautiful wife on Friday:

I'm glad to see Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are still happily married. Marriage, in my experience, takes work. A lot of work. My husband and I are just really open and honest with each other, and we’re just really there for each other. I think my husband taught me a lot about inner beauty and confidence in myself. I’ve got curves and big boobs but it seemed that men were more interested in my chest than my personality. My husband’s in love with the person inside of me, and the outside of me is just a bonus.
