JoJo Talks Favorite Moments From 2011 & New Year's Eve Plans (PHOTOS)
This has been quite the year for singer JoJo!
Not only did the 20-year-old go on tour with Joe Jonas and Jay Sean, but she's been working on new music -- and it looks as though 2012 will be an even bigger year.
Celebuzz caught up with JoJo at Black Eyed Peas star apl.de.ap's birthday party at the Conga Room in LA on Tuesday night, where she chatted about everything from her New Year's Eve plans to whether or not she wants to get back into acting.
If you had to make a highlight reel of 2011, what would be on it? This has been a really exciting year for me because it’s been a long time coming for me to release music. I released a single, shot a music video and heard my song on the radio and was able to go out and perform. I was on tour with Joe Jonas and Jay Sean and I really got to grow as an entertainer, as a songwriter. And prove to myself that I was stronger than I thought I was. So it was just a lot of personal things that I went through and little personal triumphs. So I feel like I have a lot to look forward to, a lot of hard work in 2012 but a lot to look forward to.
How do you prefer to spend New Year's Eve? Do you like to go out with a bang? Or do you like something more chill? This will be my first year being 21 [her birthday is Dec.20] so that will tell you something. I'm going to maybe have a few glasses of champagne, dance and I’m actually performing in Palm Springs and that’ll be fun. It’ll be good because I’m bringing in the New Year doing what I absolutely love, so it’ll be a good time and I’ll be around some of my closest friends and I can’t really ask for anything more.
You've been working on a new album, but would you ever want to get back into acting? I love to act. I definitely want to do it more in the future, but I'm really focusing on this album right now and putting my everything into it by promoting it and touring.
What kind of role would catch your eye? I would love to do a film set in Massachusetts. I’m from Massachusetts and I would love to play a Bostonian chick. And Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, I would love to do a film with them for example, or Mark Wahlberg.
