As if Christmas wasn’t already filled with much excitement, now Glee fans have even more to be excited about.

Even though Glee’s “Extraordinary Christmas” episode aired this past Tuesday, a new clip has surfaced which gives us a first look at the making of their special holiday show. We get the chance to take a look at the gang as they do their homages to Christmas specials, and humorously show little respect to co-star and first time director Matthew Morrison.

Jane Lynch, who plays Sue Sylvester, jokingly had her ego on full display, saying:

“Matthew Morrison is directing this episode. He came over to me for the first scene we did together and said,  ‘Jane,’ and I said  ‘Hold it right there. I have an Emmy, and I was just nominated for a People’s Choice Award. I’m sorry what were you saying?’ Made him shake in his boots a little.”

The clip which is no longer than three minutes, goes on to show scenes from the episode which included a rendition of Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas is You” as performed by Amber Riley, who shared on twitter that she couldn’t be happier for Matthew’s directorial debut, writing:

“Just watched ‘Extraordinary Christmas’! Matthew Morrison did an excellent job, his directorial debut, loved it :)”
