Nicholas Sparks' 'The Notebook' Coming to Broadway!
It's not over! Renowned romance author Nicholas Sparks -- known for his books-turned-movies Dear John and The Last Song -- revealed to a CBS News that his novel The Notebook is being adapted into a Broadway musical!
Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams made Noah and Allie come alive in the 2004 film adaptation of The Notebook. The actors later dated in real life and were even engaged for a time. What do you think? Will you be lining up at the box office for this Broadway production?
The best-selling author disclosed that the Broadway idea is still in development but shared his secret to making his characters come of the pages, saying, "The best way that I've always found, and it's what I've done in Hollywood or whether it's working with the publishers that I've worked with for a long time is to work with people that you really trust who understand what it's about and they want to take that and mold it into something new."
Rachel will appear in yet another Sparks film next year alongside Dear John actor Channing Tatum. The two star in the book-turned-film The Vow. The IMDB description reads: "A car accident puts Paige (McAdams) in a coma, and when she wakes up with severe memory loss, her husband Leo (Tatum) works to win her heart again."
