LaLa Vazquez Talks Christmas, Giving Back & New Year's Resolutions (PHOTOS)
LaLa Vazquez won't be sitting around roasting chestnuts on an open fire this Christmas. Instead of taking it easy and relaxing, the reality star is preparing for an unconventional Christmas -- at Madison Square Garden.
"My husband [Carmelo Anthony] has his first game back with the Knicks on Christmas Day, so I'll be spending the day at the basketball game. I'm excited though because the NBA is back," she told Celebuzz. "It'll be fun to have our whole family in town and go to the game. We're really looking forward to it."
With only a few days left until Christmas, LaLa reveals she still has lots of shopping to do for her 4-year-old son, Kiyan.
"He's really into power rangers and ninjas. Anything in that world, he's happy with. Carmelo and I have been on the hunt for all that stuff," she said, adding that shopping for her husband is more difficult. "What do you get the guy who has everything? I really have to put a lot of thought into what I get him," she admitted.
Meanwhile, LaLa got into the true holiday spirit and joined Rob Kardashian and Jessica Lowndes in NYC to donate toys to children of the Toy Industry Foundation at the launch of the Duracell Holiday Insurance Program. (They even caught an exclusive Daughtry concert live on Facebook fans on Facebook.com/Duracell!)
"It's the holiday season, and I want to give back. Every kid deserves to have a good Christmas, and I'm happy to lend my support to Duracell's cause," LaLa said.
And with the New Year quickly approaching, LaLa has a few resolutions with hopes of slimming down.
" Every year, I vow that I'm going to eat healthier. I start off on the right foot, but I usually break it. This year, I really want to be more health conscious -- especially for my son. With kids it's easy to pick up fast food, but I want to make an effort to be healthier when feeding him," she said.
