Melanie Amaro Wins 'The X Factor Crown! (VIDEO)
It came down to the final night on The X Factor for America and the judges to decide who was going to walk away with the remarkable prize of $5 million, and in the end, it was 19-year-old Melanie Amaro who was the night's big winner.
In the showdown between Amaro, Chris Rene and Josh Krajcik, it was Rene who made an early exit, coming in third before the big duel between Amaro and Krajcik -- the burly burrito man from Columbus, Ohio. And while he laid on some big competition, Amaro's stunning performances of R. Kelly's "I Believe I Can Fly" and Beyonce's "Listen" were enough to take her to the top.
When her name was announced, Amaro could barely stand as she was overcome with such emotion. With tears streaming down her face, Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god!" was all she could muster up as a response.
She then did her best to get through a victory performance, still clearly overwhelmed with the gravity of the situation.
