Former Disney starlet Demi Lovato is not happy with her old employer.

On Friday, the songstress took it to Twitter to voice her concerns about a joke that was aired on the Disney Channel. Demi, who was admitted to rehab for an eating disorder last year, slammed Disney for making fun of anorexia on an episode of Shake It Up. She tweeted:

"I could just eat you up, well if I ate" - Disney Chanel's Shake It Up.... What are we promoting here? #notfunnyATALL
She then continued her rant in multiple tweets, saying:
I find it really funny how a company can lose one of their actress' from the pressures of an EATING DISORDER and yet still make joke about.. Dear Disney Channel, EATING DISORDERS ARE NOT SOMETHING TO JOKE ABOUT.

However, Disney was quick to respond to Demi's concerns. They have since taken removed the offending episodes from their TV schedule. Through their PR Twitter account, the company tweeted back:

We hear you & are pulling both episodes as quickly as possible & reevaluating them. It’s NEVER our intention to make light of eating disorders!
Last month, former Disney starlet Miley Cyrus took it to Twitter to lash out at those who make light of anorexia. Along with a photo of an emaciated girl, Miley tweeted:
By calling girls like me fat this is what you're doing to other people. i love MYSELF & if you could say the same
What do you think of this situation? Did Disney take it too far? Let us know in the comments below!

i agree with her, they shouldnt joke about it like that when they lost one of their best actress' from the horrible disorder. Im happy they listened and she spoke out or you never know, a little girl could have realised what they meant and gone and stopped eating from it. im proud of demi shes such an amazing rolemodel for girls such as myself and i love how much of a difference she is making in the world <3
