If anyone can relate to the pressures of a reality show competition, Kelly Clarkson is your girl. The NY Post says The Voice has made her an offer to appear on the show and she’s going to join as a guest mentor.

It is worth noting that The Voice and American Idol – which Kelly is most known for winning — are competing in the ratings this season. Idol kicks off at the end of January, with The Voice premiering close behind in February.

According to the report, Kelly will be on Blake Sheldon’s team and serve as a mentor to his picks. Blake will also have Miranda Lambert as one of his advisors. Christina Aguilera’s advisors will be Lionel Richie and Jewel. Cee Lo Green’s advisors will be Babyface and Ne-Yo, while Adam Levine’s advisors will be Alanis Morissette and Robin Thicke.

Kelly’s episode is reportedly set to air in late March or April.

The singer recently found herself on the receiving end of a political backlash after she backed Ron Paul. She later spoke out to defend herself from the attacks, saying, “…if you’re so blinded by hate you can’t seek peace and progress then that is your unfortunate prerogative.”
