Carey's Bling
Carey Mulligan flashes a huge ring!
Sure, she’s one of the most accomplished young actresses in Hollywood, but even one as beautiful and talented as Carey Mulligan isn’t guaranteed every movie role.

The Oscar-nominated star of An Education, who is currently shooting The Great Gatsby opposite Leonardo DiCaprio, recently gave an interview to the UK’s Little White Lies, during which she revealed she auditioned for David Fincher’s The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo not once, not twice, but three times!

“The first audition I did, I don’t think I was sort of in his mind for it,” she said. “So the first audition I did for the casting director without him. And then the second was with him and the third one was with him. He is very specific. He tells you exactly what he wants you to do. He’s very kind. I was intimidated, but he was very… He’s very direct.”

” … He was just very, yeah, very specific, very direct, very honest and quiet brief – with me, at least,” she added. “His reputation of course is that he takes, like, 45 takes so him being brief with me was probably an indication that I wasn’t going to get the job. But that’s okay.” (Read the full interview here.)

Ah, what could have been!
