Exclusive: Miranda Cosgrove Talks Michelle Obama Guest Starring on ‘iCarly’

The First Lady is coming to Nickelodeon!

In an episode that airs Monday January 16, Michelle Obama makes a guest appearance on Nick's hit show iCarly. If you're familiar with the show, you know that Carly (Miranda Cosgrove) is a military kid, and is away from her father a lot, so the first lady stops by to talk about military families. The first lady has mentioned that her daughters Sasha and Malia are fans of the hit show, and encourage their mom to get involved!

Celebuzz caught up with Miranda, and talked to her about what it was like to work with the first lady herself!

How was meeting the first lady? It was really cool. She was a really nice, relaxed person. She had so much secret service on set, and they come a week before a check out the area and stuff, and I think everyone was really nervous, but excited to meet her. But I think it was refreshing because it was her first time acting, soon as she came to the set she was like, ‘I’m really nervous!’ So it made us feel a lot better.

What can we expect from the special that she’s going to be on? In the whole series, Carly’s dad is in the military, so you’ve never met him before on the show. We got kind of lucky in a lot of ways because her daughters watch iCarly, so they knew that [Carly’s dad is in the military], and basically it was her idea to talk to military kids and talk on the show. So the whole episode is all about that, and Carly and missing her dad.

Be sure to tune in to Nickelodeon on Monday January 16 to watch!
