Guns, Thugs & Stars: Rihanna’s Tattoo Timeline (PHOTOS)
We’ve been counting, and our record shows Rihanna has at least 15 tattoos at this point (maybe 16 depending on that tweet she sent out that looked like she was getting a back tat).
The most recent ink revealed on Wednesday, Jan. 25, was a tribute to the late rapper Tupac on her knuckles that reads “Thug Life.” The latest design adds to the slew of tattoos on the 23-year-old’s body, most of which are in fact writings. She tweeted about the tat a few times, one of which read: “Err’body has an opinion, but yall know what yall can do with them!!! #THUGLIFE”

According to RihannaTattoos.net, the ink on the right side of her waist was supposed to be a sanskrit prayer from the Sanatana Dharma (Hindu scripture) Bhagavad Gita 10.4-5, but it’s not quite there. The ink is supposed to read something like: “forgiveness, honesty, suppression, and control.” However, it actually reads:
“Long suffering, truthfulness, self-restraint, inward calm, fear and fearlessness.”
The tattoo is also missing the last part of the prayer that is supposed to read: “pleasure, pain, birth, death.” Regardless, it looks super sexy yet super subtle on Rihanna’s hip!

I think it’s a rebellious stage that these so called “celebrities” go through, look at Angelina Jolie. It will come back to haunt her, once maturity and sanity sets in. May take a while though.
