Adam Lambert Replacing Freddie Mercury in Queen?
Rumors are swirling that Adam Lambert will be replacing Freddie Mercury as the new lead singer of the legendary rock band Queen! The former American Idol contestant reportedly told British tabloid Daily Star that he's joining the original members guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor to play a few tour dates.
"The intention is to pay tribute to Freddie and the band by singing some f---ing great songs," he reportedly told Daily Star. "It's to keep the music alive for the fans and give it an energy that Freddie would have been proud of."
At press time, a rep for Queen and Adam Lambert could not be reached to confirm the reports.
Adam has been very vocal about his love for the band though -- even performing a rendition of "We Are The Champions" with the guys at the American Idol finale back in 2009.
