New ‘Hunger Games’ Trailer Premieres On Super Bowl Pre-Game Special (VIDEO)
Sunday’s Super Bowl got the sports world buzzing, but the new Hunger Games trailer that aired during the pre-game special made everyone giddy with excitement.
In the new trailer, fans got a closer look into the highly anticipated film. Highlights included several emotional moments between Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Caesar Flickerman (Stanley Tucci) interviewing Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), and a bloodthirsty Cato (Alexander Ludwig) at the training center. Also, fans are treated to a more in-depth explanation of how Katniss’ mockingjay pin came to be.
Furthermore, the new trailer shows President Snow (Donald Sutherland) addressing Panem. Director Gary Ross told Entrainment Weekly that the actor had sent him an email about his character that “was a long thoughtful analysis of the way power is wielded and why” that it had inspired him to write two extra scenes that are “pivital in the movie.”
