Cue the Avril Lavigne song “Skater Boy.” Although Justin Bieber is hard at work in the studio recording his new album, the singer is making the most of his down time. Wearing a red shirt and Adidas pants, the 17-year-old heartthrob showed off his skateboarding skills in Miami, Florida over the weekend and was all smiles as he caught some air.

After his skateboarding break, Justin went back inside the studio creating new tunes for his new album, Believe, which is expected to be out later this year.

Biebs updated his fans about the album, tweeting: “In the studio with @timbaland and the crew. #creating,” he posted. “in the studio writing for #17MILLIONSTRONG !!! #BELIEVE #MUCHLOVE”

He is currently in the studio working with Timbaland, who seems pretty impressed with the Biebs’ singing skills.
