- The British-Irish boy band came in third runner up on the X Factor‘s seventh season in the UK.
- Shorty after the show ended, they signed with Sony Music subsidiarity Syco Music.
- The boy band rocked the UK Singles Charts last September landing their debut singe “What Makes You Beautiful” at number one — selling 153,965 copies in just one week.
- Their album Up All Night was released two moths later, peaking number two on the UK Albums Chart.
- The album sold 138,631 copies, making it the fastest-selling debut album in 2011.
- They are currently gearing up to tour with another boyband, Big Time Rush! — and Celebuzz got the exclusive backstage pic of the two groups meeting up.

So far, these boys will be the next big thing in US. So long after Backstreet Boys, Westlife, N’Sync. What I like about these boys that they are so natural and down-to-earth. They treat their fans with love, and they act like normal teenagers. They go for drinks and party, and they’re all legal. They don’t pretend to have that squeaky clean image. They love playing pranks on each other, and to Simon Cowell, too! Their fans are mostly 14 above. Unike Big Time Rush, Justin Bieber. Who are mostly towards younger audience. They’re acting too perfect. No wonder Justin is showing his middle finger to paparazzi. His management must let him enjoy being a teen. Instead of having a squeaky clean image.

I’m so proud of them, their music is amazing and they have great personalities. You guys should post more things about them. Can’t wait for the tour in the US and Canada.

Good blog post. A few things i would like to contribute is that computer memory is required to be purchased if the computer cannot cope with anything you do by using it. One can add two RAM memory boards of 1GB each, as an example, but not one of 1GB and one of 2GB. One should look for the maker’s documentation for own PC to be sure what type of memory is essential.
I really like One Direction’s songs. Especially “One Thing” & “What makes you beautiful”. Good Job! & Fighting! Be happy to you all.
