Courteney Cox, Angelina Jolie & More Actresses Who Became Directors (PHOTOS)
Who says Hollywood's all about acting? In fact, more and more of the industry's hottest starlets are making the transition from the silver screen to behind the movie camera. Angelina Jolie's directorial feature, In the Land of Blood and Honey, made a splash this year when it was nominated for a Golden Globe. Meanwhile, Drew Barrymore's Whip It and Jodie Foster's The Beaver both became indie classics.
Courteney Cox is the latest leading lady to take on a director role. The Friends actress is slated to direct Tall Hot Blonde, a Lifetime film based on a true story about two people falling in love on the Internet. Check out Cox, and more actresses-turned-directors, in the gallery above!
"I love directing,"Courteney gushed to USA Today about her latest project. "I thought, 'Oh my god, this is perfect for my personality, to be involved in every little detail.' It made me so happy."
"There's a murder out of jealousy. It's a really interesting documentary. It's a great role for a guy – and it's not your typical battered woman," she added.
