Whitney Houston Through The Years (PHOTOS)
Fans are shocked to hear of the death of the music legend Whitney Houston, who passed away today, Feb. 11. The singer was born on August, 9, 1963 to Cissy Houston, who was a notable gospel singer. Whitney went on to marry her husband Bobby Brown in 1992, who she filed for divorce from in 2006. The two shared one child together, Bobbi Kristina.
Whitney debuted her first album in 1985 and won her first Grammy in 1986 for the Best Pop Vocal Performance and Best Female Performer.
This was just the beginning of the singer’s award-winning musical career. She released her second album ‘Whitney’ in 1987 and received her second Grammy award in 1988 for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for her hit “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.”
In 1992, Whitney stared in the box office blockbuster The Bodyguard with Kevin Costner. She also recorded six tracks for the soundtrack. Her mega hit “I Will Always Love You” from the movie became one of the songs she is most famous for.
Shortly after 1995, Whitney co-produced her next album Waiting to Exhale with Babyface. Whitney’s Greatest Hits album was released in April of 2000.
Despite her very successful career, Whitney battled with drug addiction and checked into rehab twice in her lifetime. She claimed to be drug free in 2010 in an interview with talk host Oprah Winfrey.
She was recently said to be working on a new film, Sparkle, with singer Jordin Sparks. This would have been her first on-screen performance since the Preacher’s Wife with Denzel Washington in 1996. in It has been reported that her scenes for movie were completed.
Whitney was found dead at the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel, the cause of death is still unknown.

I love whitney and believe she is in heaven with God and Jesus and hosts of Angels. My only wish is that she would have prospered in this life mind, body and soul more abundantly then she did. I will miss the blessing that you were to myself and all who heard your gift and saw your sweet spirit. See you in Heaven Whitney!!!
I too pray for Whitney’s soul, her physical family & especially her mother. She knew, as mother’s know the Lord would soon take her home. The battle always belonged to God yet Whitney never fully learned to turned those burdens over completely to God. As much as she knew & confused Yes, Jesus loved her…How much did she really love him?…Jesus said no more, come on to me all of you heavy & I will give you rest. No more fighting that demon Whitney, the eternal rest you sought after has been granted. Rest on my friend…
I feel so sad about the death of Whitney Houston. She was one of the greats in our time. I pray that she will rest in peace & that her family find peace in knowing that. Goodbye to a wonderful & talented star. We will miss you.

whitney played russian roulette with her life for over 10 years, and had to have known the devastation her death would cause her daughter. you don’t get much lower than that.
i hope that there is more than what we know, and that she is now having to answer to, or at least having to witness the devastation caused by her selfish lifestyle & choices…a beautiful voice, but an ugly human being
