The world is still reeling over the loss of Whitney Houston, but as tragic as her passing might have been, her life and career are definitely worth celebrating.

Over the years, many have referred to the “How Will I Know” singer as “music royalty” as she was the goddaughter of Aretha Franklin, and had a number of musical people in her family tree. Aside from her musical background and golden pipes, Whitney will be remembered as the most awarded female recording artist of all time.

So, exactly how many awards did she rack up over her decades long career?

Whitney received: two Emmy Awards, six Grammy Awards, 22 American Music Awards and a whopping 30 Billboard Music Awards.
