Whitney Houston's Daughter Bobbi Kristina Rushed to the Hospital
Just when this weekend couldn't get more tragic, Whitney Houston's daughter, Bobbi Kristina, has been rushed to the hospital just hours following her mother's death. TMZ reports that the 18-year-old was recently taken to Cedears-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
Update: As of Sunday evening, Bobbi has been released from the hospital. TMZ reports that her father, Bobby Brown is flying to Los Angeles to be her.
According to the report, police and fire rushed to the Beverly Hilton following a call for a medical emergency on Sunday. A source said that Bobbi was in fact the one seeking medical attention and was taken out of the hotel on a stretcher.
On Saturday night, Bobbi had gotten into an angry shouting match with police officers when she was told she could not see her mother's body.
Bobbi, who is the daughter of Houston and singer Bobby Brown, made headlines in March 2011 when reports surfaced that Houston was forcing her to enter rehab. Bobbi denied those rumors on her Twitter, saying:
Excuse me, but I'd like to say that I am NOT going to rehab? I'm perfectly healthy and I am not addicted to anything but life.
On Saturday, publicist Kristen Foster confirmed that Bobbi's mother, Whitney, had passed. It was later learned that the singer had died in her fourth floor hotel room at the Beverly Hilton where Clive Davis‘ annual Grammy party was held. Although police found Houston in possession of prescription pills, the cause of her death has not been revealed.
Houston's autopsy revealed she had water in her lungs when she died. Authorities cannot yet determine whether Houston died before she was submerged in the water or after. Toxicology results will be back in 4-6 weeks.
