Trend Spotting: Christina Ricci Works Royal Blue Style in Berlin (PHOTOS)

Is royal blue the new black? It's might be too soon to tell, but it's certainly making a name for itself as the go-to color for red carpet fashionistas. The most recent style-savvy celeb to sport the eye-catching hue is Christina Ricci. 

The actress showed up at a photo call in Berlin, Germany wearing the fetching royal blue minidress and dark black tights.  We're loving this attention-grabbing color and hope it's a mainstay on the red carpet but what do you think of the royal blue trend?
