Demi Lovato has been through a lot over the last year and a half, and will open up even more about her struggles in a brand new MTV special.

On Tuesday, Demi announced on Facebook:

“I’m SO excited to tell you guys about my first ever special on MTV! It premieres on March 6th at 10 pm. Hope you guys all tune in! – Stay Strong, Demi”

Though this wouldn’t be the first time the 19-year-old singer has openly discussed her struggles with eating disorder and cutting, this is yet another forum for Demi to shed light on what she has been through. In an interview with UK’s The Daily Mail, she spoke very candidly about it as well, saying:

“I think I was born with an eating disorder because I’ve never had a relationship with food that was normal. I started overeating when I was about eight; I was a binge eater. I would bake a whole plate of cookies and eat them all. Then when I turned 12 I was bullied in school and they called me fat. I went from being an overeater to stopping eating and I lost about 30lbs. From then on I continued undereating, but my weight plateaued.”

For more, be sure to tune in to Demi’s Stay Strong special airing on MTV March 6.
