Katy Perry loves a silly costume and a cameo. The "ET" singer achieved both with her
Raising Hope role. The pop starlet tweeted on Wednesday a photo of herself dressed as a curly-haired, mustachioed cop. She captioned the photo with a joke, writing:
"@shannonwoodward, I hope I don't get type-cast."
The show's star
Shannon Woodward is one of Katy's good friends which is probably in part how she landed the role. The singer said of snagging the hilarious cameo (via
Huffington Post):
"Shannon Woodward is my best friend. A couple weeks ago, I was home, just toasting up a frozen chicken fillet when she called me up and asked if I wanted to do something 'fun' for a change and try out a guest role on her TV show. I thought, 'Sure, I have nothing else to do, and I like chillin' with my best friend.'"
This isn't Katy's first TV part. She's also had a cameo on CBS' comedy
