Lindsay Lohan Before & After: Surgeon Comments on Her New Look (PHOTO)
Is it just us, or is Lindsay Lohan looking a little different these days? Celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Garth Fisher gives Celebuzz his expert opinion on her appearance, after some have speculated she’s had plastic surgery.
It is important to note that Dr. Fisher has NOT treated Lohan. After looking at the most recent pics of the star, especially in contrast to just a few years ago (our before shot above is from 2006), he says it appears she has had some work done.
“She looks like she has had an excessive amount of filler injected in her face,” he says, adding, “I’m not a fan.”
Dermal fillers are non-invasive, non-surgical injections used in the lips, cheeks and under the eye. They can be used to even out scars, as well as in other areas to reshape the surface appearance of the face. Juvederm was a popular filler a few years ago, but many docs have started using Radiesse to enhance shallow contours or soften facial creases and wrinkles because it tends to last longer and have a higher satisfaction rate among patients.
See Dr. Fisher’s website for more info on plastic surgery — including how to select the right doctor!

she was such talent. beautiful face. still is. but I wish she can just let go of the drugs.
She was so much prettier before. I don’t get why these Hollywood girls think they need to go under the knife.
It’s really terrifying to see before and after pictures of her. I hate to say this but I’m really afraid she will pass away soon.
She’s a waste of skin so who cares if she does? She contributes absolutely nothing to society anyway.
OMG guys did you see the picture with black hair she looks gorgeous i love it but with the blonde hair she look a little bit oolder and her skin looks like she had a lot of dameged
If her goal was to age herself so that instead of looking in her 20s, she looks like a mid-40ish reality TV star — congratulations!!! That is exactly what she has done. So sad – she really was a pretty girl before. Now she just looks used up and spit out.
She looks like Powder’s sister!!!
wow… so wrong. She was beautiful… she looks so much older and she needs to go back to her natural hair color.
she looks thicker and thats a great thing, i hope the fullness in her face matches her body.
Wow.. really? I seriously don’t even get why celebrities do plastic surgery?! Why can’t they accept their bodies they way they are? Now she looks like she’s dying because she has no skin color, just a ghostly white body… and she does NOT look good as a blonde.. She looks a lot prettier on the left with dark hair.
Why the cheek implants….what is she going to do when she reaches 50 years old? When she takes them out, her skin would have stretched a mile….then she really will need plastic surgery….nothing to do with her money, but make herself unattractive…..
She was so much prettier before
She didn’t have surgery, she’s just a cokehead. Makes your face all puffy like that.
She looks like she is in her late 30′s
She used to be so beautiful
She was gorgeous back in 2006. I don’t understand why she had to do this to herself. Now she looks 20 years older than she actually is
It’s interesting to see how the media, and the people who pay attention to it, seem to forget that celebrities, even young ones under thirty, do age just like the rest of us wee, mere mortals. Photos seemingly become secretly signed contracts with the public not to age or change for the rest of their acting careers. Any sign of weight gain/loss, after effects of minor illness/medication unreported to the media, or, as previously stated, natural progression of aging for women (notice how this phenomenon of scrutiny happens far less commonly for men) comes under immediate scrutiny as “possibly having work done”.
As noted in the article itself, the above “before” photo was taken six years ago when Lohan was 19, the “after” more recently when she was 25. While not quite a decade that people use as a more common comparative benchmark, a lot can happen to an individual in six years. Many regular people can attest to having undergone great changes, both physically and mentally, in themselves and family members between the time they were 19 and 25, without ever having had plastic surgery. The “before” picture also happens to be one where she is not smiling, a position that would allow a leaner look as the muscles are relaxed, hence why most actors choose it for portfolio pictures. Meanwhile, the “after” picture is one where she is smiling, a position that accentuates fullness and roundness of face as the muscles contract. If people actually ran a quick Google search for comparison before jumping to conclusions, it is not that different from pictures of her childhood self where she is smiling, and has a similarly full face.
Although it is rumored to be more common for celebrities in the spotlight to employ plastic surgery to maintain their publicly profiled appearances, there are still many who have not “gone under the knife” while still being accused of the opposite (Ashley Judd as a recent example). The only thing we can say for certain about Lindsay Lohan’s appearance, without consulting her or her representatives, is that she has stopped going to tanning beds (which any dermatologist will argue is a good thing), and has dyed her hair blond. The media and its followers would do well to be more skeptical and critical of such hype, and not mistake speculation for truth.
