This dress makes her look like a particularly unpleasant black beetle.
Let’s face it: her figure is a difficult one to flatter, and this dress doesn’t do it. Too much drapery. Drab color
It is not easy for fat women to pull off a good look, specially in a society that leaves ‘pretty clothes’ only for thin girls, instead of trying to include everyone.Big sizes are always full of awful designs. Having said this, Tadashi Shoji makes an amazing job with Octavia Spencer who’s a big lady herself. Melissa only needs a person who knows how to work her figure to her advantage; and yes there’s always a way.

The only way this dress could be saved is if you made it a mini, put a bold necklace with it and gave it a plunging back!

It needs a splash of colour to this otherwise monochromatic look, but other than that, there’s nothing wrong with it.
