Film Documentary ‘Happy’ Starts Campaign For ‘World Happy Day’

A day devoted to a film titled Happy sounds like wishful thinking but it’s actually kind of true!

Academy Award nominated director Roko Belic’s new film Happy investigates into the meaning of being truly happy, including real life stories of people throughout the world and scientific research on how to find and sustain happiness in our lives.

In honor of the release of the film, “World Happy Day” was declared on February 11th.  According to a press release, “over 600 cities in 60 countries across the globe participated in this campaign, hosting special screenings already being scheduled in UK, Cambodia, The Philippines, Brazil, Nepal, India, etc.”

The film centers on a journey through Louisiana and even as far as Kolkata in search of what makes regular people truly and genuinely happy. The film explores the meaning and secrets behind one of the most sought after human emotion.
