This weekend our Celebuzz box office battle is a showdown between an animated feature and a moving book adaptation!

Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax stars hottie Zac EfronTaylor Swift, Danny Devito and legend Betty White. With such fresh star power, will Lorax be able to take down a poetic Being Flynn–which stars Julianne Moore and Robert De Niro?

Swift and Efron lead the film in an environmental and anti-greed tale. According to IMDB, the premise entails a 12-year-old boy trying to win over a girl’s affections. Meanwhile, he must unravel the story of “The Lorax — the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world.”

Opposite that, we have Being Flynn–which is an adaption of Nick Flynn‘s famous memior “Another Bullshit Night in Suck City.” The emotional premise gives De Niro some real material to bite into. The premise on IMDB reads:

“Working in a Boston homeless shelter, Nick Flynn re-encounters his father, a con man and self-proclaimed poet. Sensing trouble in his own life, Nick wrestles with the notion of reaching out yet again to his dad.”
