It was fan-sanity at The Hunger Games premiere Monday night in Los Angeles, and stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth as well as director Gary Ross were eager to dish with Celebuzz how proud they were of this film.

“I believe it’s one of the most powerful films I’ve seen,” Liam said. “I was extremely nervous before I saw it for the first time, but I feel a lot more at ease now. I feel it’s a great film. I think audiences and fans are going to love it.”

So is there one scene that was powerful to watch?

Any great story, I think you need characters that you care about, and from beginning to end of this film you really feel for these characters, and you feel like you’re there with them.

So what is director Gary Ross most proud of with this film?

I think it’s emotional, I think it’s serious at the same time it’s a big spectacle. I think it’s something that hopefully fans will emotionally connect to. I think we took it seriously the way the fans did. We weren’t cynical about it, I’m proud of that.
