George Clooney Arrested!
The actor gets cuffed during a protest in D.C.
After only a few hours, George Clooney was bailed out of jail, and at a bargain rate! In fact, this could be the cheapest celebrity bailout we’ve seen!

The Oscar nominee, along with a 17 others including the actor’s dad Nick, were released from jail for $100 each, TMZ is reporting. The group was arrested in Washington D.C. on Friday morning during a protest outside the Sudanese Embassy.

Following his release, George chatted with CNN.

Even prior to going down to the station, the actor was able to get a message to TODAY show anchor Ann Curry who tweeted:

George Clooney:”It’s actually a humiliating thing to be arrested no matter what you do, but i’m glad to be standing here with my father.”

What do you think? Should George have been arrested?

Earlier today, actor’s rep Stan Rosenfield told Celebuzz: “They were protesting the violence committed by the government of Sudan on its own innocent men, women and children. They were demanding they allow humanitarian aid into the country before it becomes the largest humanitarian crisis in the world.”
