Russell Brand Arrested & Booked on Felony, Not Misdemeanor
In Louisiana, property damage that exceeds $500 triggers a felony arrest. Monday, Brand supposedly smashed a photographer’s iPhone on Monday which costs around $700.
Brand tweeted about the incident, saying:
Since Steve Jobs died I cannot bear to see anyone use an iPhone irreverently, what I did was a tribute to his memory.
Whether or not prosecutor’s go forward with the felony charges remains to be seen.
